Mom of three...

 So as you know I had my baby!!

I am currently one month postpartum and am doing surprisingly really good!!!

I finally got some type of routine, it's mostly just sleeping any chance I get hahaha

I never knew i'd be the mom that was happy that her kids went to school, but boy oh boy thank goodness schools were invented!!!!

Baby is doing great and the kids are doing good, i need to figure out how to give them more attention since i'm always tired or focused on baby.

Okay so let me tell you about this past month...

1 - c-section recovery is NO JOKE!! 

I forgot how bad it was, i was really struggling. The pain, the way i couldn't even move, sit or live hahah (i'm not being dramatic, it was that bad).

2 - The no sleep game is a real thing, surviving on 2 hours of sleep is wild, getting 4 hours is a luxury!

3 - Having a new baby with two other kids who are not fully independent, sucks balls!

You never get a moment to yourself, which is fine because this is what i signed up for, buttttt when you really need a moment it completely makes you feel like your losing your mind.

Overall i feel like i finally have my life together *knock on wood*

Taking in these last moments of just having two kids...

I'm at the stage where doing things is getting harder and harder. I'm not allowed to travel more than an hour from home, and as usual, I'm having a high-risk pregnancy.

Even though I can't do much with the kiddos, I try to make whatever time they have before school as fun as possible.

Soon I won't be able to move for about 2 weeks. So I'm trying to be as present as possible. And also not be too hard on myself since being pregnant is difficult, lol

It's been a wild journey that will be ending soon, and another one will be beginning. I'm unclear if I'm excited or just nervous. Either way, I can't wait to see Miles and for the kids to meet their baby brother 💚💚

3. COHLEY - is a website (high paying compares to others I've seen) that you can apply for UGC campaigns. Some are posting, and some are just content. AMAZING BRANDS TO WORK WITH!!!

4. INSENSE - is a website/app that you can find good PAID campaigns that are with really great brands. They also pay very well!!

5. INTELLIFLUENCE - is a website where you can find fun campaigns and work one on one with brands to create content on your socials.

Sooo as you know I'm a mom of a 5yo and a 3yo....

Some days are amazing, when I see there little faces and am just so in love with the way they see life....

Other days..... I just want to hide in my bed because my sweet babies have turned into sour patch kids and I just can't handle it...

Parenthood does NOT come with a manual, and every child is different. Needs to be treated differently, understands differently and just cared for differently.

Example: my son (total mommas boy 😒) he is whiny but can't handle being scolded, he literally cries!
My daughter is a cuddly love bug, buttttt she is stubborn (like me) and extremely strong willed. Can take a scolding and will give you one back.

So what do I do. Handle both differently in a way they will reciprocate. Now mind you I still have my days were I scream at the top of my lungs because they are not listening, but does it always work. No, but when it does they run scared (muahahah).

Now is the solution to always yell, no because then I'll never have a voice. So I have learned to just chill, take it easy and go with the flow.

Did anyone teach me this, NOPE, because as a Hispanic our parents just yelled at us and spanked us. As is my husbands upbringing......

NOW 2023

Hey! My kids are now 7yo and 5yo and i'm 5 1/2 months pregnant...

Reading this post, i sympathize with my self.

It was hard for me to figure out motherhood and do it the way i wanted.

2 years bow, i do not spank my kids and i do not yell (well sometimes).

My approach is talking to them and helping them to understand what they did and why it was wrong.

I also want them to come to me when their feelings are hurt, which they do. 

We have a relationship where they aren't afraid of me and they know that they can talk to me and i'm here to listen.

I grew up always being afraid of everything and i hated it, i do not want my kids to be afraid or think that anything they do has to be done in fear.

My kids are sweet and respectable, of course they still can through their tantrums and can get rude (they are getting older, and we know the sass multiplies).

Every parent, parents differently and I think you should do what you think is best. For us moms we have so many people "telling us" what to do. we have our moms, mother-in-laws, grandmothers, aunts, sisters, cousins, etc... men have it easier because no one expects anything from them. 

Which is why i do what i like and everyone who is in my life knows do not tell me what you did or how i "should" do stuff, because i will NEVER do what others do if it doesn't sit well with me.

I also am stubborn and hate being told what to do hahaha

So this is just a draft i saw and was like omg i never posted this, let me add in how life is going now as a mama who will be adding another kiddo into the mix!!!

Camping 2023

 

My Family and i love camping...

Over the years i have become a mini pro when it comes to camping.

This year we went to Kittatinny Campground in Barryville, NY. We absolutely love this campsite, we have camped at Kittatinny before but never at this one. Honestly a must have for anyone that likes to go camping.

It feels so safe and is very clean, Family oriented and a must have side especially if you like lake sites. The bathroom aka showers are super nice, I went to the outdoor ones and they are soooo modern!!!

I am absolutely loving this portable coffee maker from Travel Ready Gear!

It is made of a collapsible material that is easy to travel with, and brings three filters.

It's a pour over method that makes your coffee taste absolutely amazing! I actually use it now at home and not only for camping.

 

We took the kids rafting for the first time...

I of course was freaking out, because I've fallen out of a raft before and almost drowned...

But the kids had a blast, it was a cold day so that made it kind of miserable...

They said they would love to go back and do it again!!!

My kids are nature kids...

They each have been camping since they are one years old, they are literal pros.

I love the way they love to just enjoy nature and the world around them. Away from technology and learning on how to explore.

We actually got a site right on the lake, and we would go every day to the lake and spent the whole day by the water.

Honestly the best camping trip we have had!!

Influencer Tips | How to be successful & Make Money

 Being an influencer | content creator to many seems daunting, because of all of the work that goes into it. I've been an influencer for about 4 years (well 3 because I stopped for a year and got roped into an MLM that made me no money...) and last year I really started to see my hard work pay off, literally last year I was making about $1,000 a month just on collabs, ugc content and monetizations. (This year I'm actually doing way better!!)

Some months were more some were very less, but it all depended on how much effort I put into it!

I'm here to give you my TOP 3 TIPS to being successful (I also made a YouTube video that you can watch if your an auditory learner and it has my 5 tips on there).

TOP 5 TIPS TO INFLUENCING 

Tip #1 : Batch your content

When I tell people this, they look at me like I have 3 heads hahha

Batching your content is when you (for me) when you choose 2-3 days out of the week that you film atleast 3-7 videos or take photos for atleast 4-5 brands and dedicate a day or two on collecting video, photos, etc.

Then from those 2-3 days you pick one day to just edit all your videos you plan on posting for the week or month (depending on how much you get done, this may take more than one day). Work on your captions, story posts, etc.

When you do this it makes life easier, because you don't need to be creative every single day. That leads to BURN OUT.

Burn out is the #1 cause that people either choose to stop creating content or are to afraid to start (if you made it this far and seem apprehensive because it's too much work. With these steps it will make it less work!).

You have 7 days in a week, why not only use 2-3 of them to focus on your content and then you have 4-5 days to just chill!!! (Or network lol)

Tip #2: Apply for Collabs!!!

If you want to get paid, you have to reach out to brands. I personally do not reach out to brands specifically (that may change this year I'll keep you posted). I use network marketing sites that work with brands to find influencers.

I also do alot of UGC content were you don't have to post on your socials and you get paid to make videos or take photos and give it to the brand so they can use.

I ofcourse will list all the ones I use, some of them I get credit for some don't but either way they are all amazing and I have actually made monet from them so it's a win win over here!!

Tip #3 Get Peronal

Now hold on! 

When I say get personal, I don't mean you have to tell your life story and all your business. What I mean is make your self relatable. Talk about your hobbies, what you like, what's on your mind. Have your followers get to know you and want to actually follow you.

Sometimes it's hard to be public, but the great thing is you get to choose what you post, share and control the narrative.

So if you like a sport, talk about it. If you are a diy crafter, post about it. If you like clothes, makeup, shopping show it off! People who relate to you will want to learn and know more!!

C-section Awareness Month

 It's April!!!

It is officially c-section awareness month and I'm here as a two time c-section mama to talk about this LIFE SAVING procedure!!

There still seems to be not alot of education about this in 2023 and the same ignorant rhetoric is still being passed around.

Women are afraid to get c-sections because women who have never had one (mind you!) tell them their bad.

Women are told that they didn't really give birth because their baby didn't come out of their vaginas... like b**ch I held this baby for 9 months, gained 60 lbs and probably have underlying health conditions (speaking for myself) because I had TWO babies!!

One thing I have to say to any woman who is pregnant or plans to have children. You and your babies health is what's most important. Whatever will keep you both safe is all that matters.

Also do not take c-section advice or just birthing advice from anyone who hasn't experienced it or is trained in child birthing. Also no offense to older generation, but if the person who is telling you all about giving birth hasn't had a baby in the last 10 years, you may want to get another opinion. Only because things change medically, scientifically every 5 years, not saying the old ways don't work but new way can help as well.

There are so many scientific advances that our parents, grandparents and so on could never fathom!

Never let anyone make you feel less than, it's ok to get a c-section for me personally it's saved my son's life in my first pregnancy and then saved my life in my second pregnancy.  If I didn't have a c-section I wouldn't have a son and my daughter wouldn't have a mother.

Because of all the stigma behind c-section women get all stressed and try to make a "birthing plan" hahaha jajaja 

I'm sorry but I laugh at birthing plans, because you CANNOT plan what is going to happen when it's time for baby to come. It doesn't matter how "prepared" you are or how organized you think you'll be. It's a whole different world.

Baby gonna come, when baby wants to come.

Vaginal birth, c-section, emergency birth are all things we cannot control. 

You can go into, everything is fine and then baby doesn't want to come out, bam emergency c-section!

And this is not to scare you, this is to have you ready for whatever is to come. That's why I loved my OBGYN the minute I came to her she told me upfront, you may want this but all this can happen and I need you to just go with it.

I went with it and it saved our lives.

I'm not an "A Type" a person, so for those people this concept might be hard to grasp, but having a c-section will save lives and it's ok to be scared, because motherhood is a sh*tshow (be prepared).

All in all to all my c-section mama's out there, you are amazing!!!!!

I will be having my 3rd c-section this fall so I'll create a post on some of my tips if you'd like!!!

C-section have been my saving grace, and I will always have a positive look on the procedure because like I've said, it saves so many lives!!

I'M PREGNANT!!!

 okay okay okay so all the people who know me know for a fact i did NOT want another kid.

I had a boy & a girl and i was happy, one of each and done!

But baby fever was real, and i know my husband really wanted a 3rd, so before my kids got too old I was like "okay just have another kid"...

Lets just say i'm miserable but like in the pregnancy way, not because i'm having a baby ha ha ha

My pregnancies aren't the greatest, I've never been one of those women that say "i love being pregnant, it was amazing!".... no for me its usually feeling like crap and having health complications throughout the whole 9 months...

So yes i'm making myself go through this one last time, because why not?

my kids have been begging for another sibling, they are old enough to help and it'll be smoother once they're both in school.

Over all we are excited and I will give you updates as time progresses!!

Lets Talk Yeast Infections

This year I plan on being super transparent when it comes to what my content will be about.

My posts will not only be what society dictates as "appropriate"  I will be posting about real issues that women like me and many others face.

So I'm excited for this to be my first post on the topic of women's health.

As you may already know I have diabetes, I also have PCOS and on occasion high blood pressure (but could be possibly white coat syndrome, who knows lol).

With being a Diabetic (because of PCOS & gestational diabetes caused by my PCOS. That's B!) I tend to get yeast infections like it's my day job. It's very frustrating when you think your doing great, and one day you decide to idk eat pasta (maybe an excessive amount) or not drink as much water as you usually drink (mind you only one day) and BAM! YOU GET A DANG YEAST INFECTION. What's crazy is you know how many women struggle with this?!?! 

Did you know 3 out of 4 women get yeast infections in their life time. Now add in an underlying health condition that causes candida to form excessive amount of yeast in your stomach and you got some majot issues.

Also having a yeast infection can turn leathal if not treated, some form it only in their stomach and can go up into their throats causing their passage ways to close. I know i meant someone who told me her story! 

I never knoew this until i heard the story and i realized how ill informed us women truly are.

** side note, if you ever have this type of yeast infection you need to rush to the hospital, it is a deathly condition that can cause you sever health issues.

This is a topic that is not spoken about, and many doctors to not give us information on how to help, prevent or even treat it. Whenever you go to the doctor they just give you a super high dose of antiobotics and then tell you to stop eating carbs. But its not just eating carbs that causes this. 

Ofcourse there are over the counter medicines like monistat and what not, but i'd raher go a more natural route.

There are so many things that we eat that can give us yeast infections, such as dairy, cerain oils in our food, obviously rice, pasta, sugar is a huge factor in yeast infections as well.

When I learned about what a yeast infection was, I was on my second pregnancy and had developed it in my 3rd trimester. Mind you my gestational diabetes was through the roof, and I was preclamtic. 

The stigma of yeast infections are crazy, I thought like any vaginal infection is was because you just didn't wash yourself properly (same with UTI) because as a Hispanic your always told if you have any issues down below "no te lavaste bien". So in my mind anything that happened there was my fault.

Well come to find out i was extremely wrong, it's all about your gut and health!!

Luckly we live in the modern age were we can find resources and connect with others who struggle with the same issues we face on a daily basis. Technology does make life easier in certain aspects, especial when it comes to research and learning about how to better our circumstances in the health department.

What has been working for me is learning to avoid certain foods like dairy and limit my carb intake. As well as taking probiotics on a daily basis, my diabetes medicine and drinking tons and tons of water.

When i do get a yeast infection (thanks holidays!!), i use boric acid suppositories and vaginal oils to heal with yeast that are all natural. I'd rather take a more holistic and natural route then having to go to the doctor and be priscribed vaginal cream (which dries you up and causes blisters!!) and water antibiotic they give me. Since i get them more than once a year, sometimes every 3 months, i'd rather go a more natural way.

This post is to help others who may be struggling or who may not know how to handle whats happening. It's not a forum to judge or say "just drink more water", because it doesn't matter how much water you drink, if you do have a health condition that can cause yeast infections easily, its bound to happen.
