A week of the Flu - Stuggles of Motherhood

 If your a mother of school aged kids then you already know how this fall and winter season has been...

Week after week my kids have been sick.

It has been driving me crazy because I keep getting sick too.

This past week we all got taken down by the flu, except my husband, that jerk never gets sick but i always catch whatever the kids have. WHY IS MY IMMUNE SYSTEM LIKE THIS!!!

The kids have had fevers as high as 102.1 and not being able to hold food down, muscle pains, headaches, the list can go on and on.

Since its the holiday season and we already missed out on a few activities that we (aka I) had planned, I still wanted to make the most of it. 

We took the kids to a light show, that was near us. Had hot coco and played a machine game, you know the one where you try and get a toy with the grip thing lol. What are those called "claw machine"? Is that what its called, i could easily google the answer but its my blog so I can just write that I don't know what its called. I will probably google it after I post this and laugh at my silliness since i'm probably right, i'm usually right anyway!!

Of course we only lasted about 30-40min because my son and husband were was too cold (they are just so grumpy lol) and my daughter decided not to let her hot chocolate cool down and burned her tongue. Thankfully the kids got in for free and we did get a few nice photos to remember this moment, however short it was.

           

After we went to a Mexican reasturant and the food was delicious, the kids had the best time.

I got the chicken fajita which was amazing!! Hubby got a burrito and I love that they had kid options like pizza, mac and cheese, etc for the kids. The whole place was so nice and festively decorated for the holidays. We definitley wil be goong back.

Moving from NY to PA was a fun transition, but now finding food has gotten interesting. We no longer have the convinence of every culture within a 30 block radius. We have to hunt down to find good authentic style foods, but we are starting to find the best spots.

  

It was nice taking them out, if only for a little bit since my son was feeling better and my daughter wasn't really showing any simptoms well that was until the next day, but that another story...

Why I no longer am part of Monat

Short version I didn't like the pressure I was under to get customers and people to join.

Longer version:

 I wasn't having success, and i felt like i was lying to people that they can make all this money when i wasn't and it didn't sit well with me.

 I hated having to message people and constantly have to be in peoples dm's. 

 I worked my butt of daily and consistently but I didn't like what was "required" of me. 

 I'm an influencer and alot of the ladies kind of looked down on that, mind you I make 10x more being an influencer than I ever did in Monat. 

 The culture isn’t as nice and friendly as they make it seem, its a lot of pushing and stress to succeed so that the ones above you can move up. and when you aren't being "successful" no one is interested in being your "friend". 

 Once I stopped doing Monat no one ever decided to "keep" talking to me, which is hypocritical but I already expected it and laugh about the ridiculousness.

 I'm just ashamed that I pushed these products so hard, not that they didn't work, they did! but in all honesty I am not a fan on the way you have to have a flexship and can only purchase $84 worth of stuff to get free shipping. There are other products that are similar and more easily available to buy. 

I just refuse to join and be made felt like a nobody because I can't get "sales" so to anyone that i pressured, I  sincerely apologize!!!! 

One last thing I feel I need to add is that be careful with people wanting to be "your friend", those women who follow you, like all your posts and then try to get to "know you" are just part of the MLM train...

This is another reason I couldn't be apart of it. IT IS MORALLY WRONG!

I have so much more to say, but for now this was good to get off my chest <3

To the mom, dad, parent who needs to be reminded:

I posted this to my stories and I realized I'm not the only parent who gets pressured to be perfect. 

 

So here is your reminder that you have kids, especially if you have little ones.

Your house doesn't need to be perfect, if it is that's great, but for the 85% of us who are just making it through the day. YOU ARE DOING A GREAT JOB!!

My home will never be a perfectly clean house because I let my kids actually live in their home, enjoy the house, run around, make messes. They are little only once. Maybe when they move my house can be a magazine cover. Until then, it's gonna be a hot mess with this hot mess momma and her hot mess kiddos.

But my kids will remember their happy home, their sense of wonder and all the fun times we continue to have.

So don't let this holiday season or even just this whole year stress you out because of some mess. Let people talk and say whatever they want.

What's my motto people!!: they don't pay your bills, help you raise your children and aren't apart of your every day life. And if still so, no one's opinion matters but yours!! 

Enjoy all these moments, enjoy the stressful clutter, we only get a few years with our babies until they turn to teens and don't want to be near us 😭😭🤣🤣🤣🤣

Pumpkin Loaf Recipe

 Made this delicious Pumpkin Loaf 🎃 

Recipe:

Need two separate bowls (1 dry, 1 wet)

Wet Items:

1 (29 ounce) can pure pumpkin puree

8 large eggs

2 cup vegetable oil

1/2 cup water

4 teaspoons pure vanilla extract

4 1/2 cups sugar

Dry items:

4 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

4 teaspoons baking soda

2 1/2 teaspoons kosher salt

2 tsp pumpkin pie spice

2 tsp nutmeg

2 tsp clove

2 tsp cinnamon 

2 tsp cinnamon sugar

Mix wet, then mix dry into wet (I did it backwards)

Blend well.

Preheat oven to 350°

Cook for 1 hour

Makes 4 loafs or one huge bunt.

(If you want less, cut all ingredients in half)

Mindset

#tbt to 2019 ( this was my birthday 29th) 

 Brand new mom to two kids... 

 I was struggling, I hated myself. 

 I sacrificed every ounce of my energy for my kids and hubby.

 I was completely lost. 

 I felt like I had no one and I was on this mom journey all by myself... 

 Fast forward to today 2022 I'm thriving. I'm happy.

 I've found my own version of success. 

 I'm still sacrificing (because duh mom/wife life), but I know my worth and I value myself so much. 

 I've learned the true meaning of living my best life and doing what I want when I want no matter who has anything to say. (They can kiss my ass lmao) This is the year I actually became an influencer!!!! 

 We aren't always going to love ourselves, and we will find things to hate about who we are. 

 Just always remember you are amazing. 

 Whatever struggles you are facing, you will surpass them and come out better, stronger and wiser.

Life Update!

Hope everyone is doing amazing! I am have been extremely blessed this spring/summer season. I just wantede to check in with you and see how you are. Know that you will be ok and that all your hard work will pay off. I struggled the past few month and had a hard time ever thinking i could achieve success, but i kep perservering and pushinsg and am slowly reaping the rewards of my hard work. I continue to wokr hard and set goals to achieve and i just want you to know you got this!! I hope you all are successful in whatever you set outr to do!!!

Failure should never be the reason why you hold yourself back... 

 The fear of failing is what keeps you stuck... The term "failure is not an option" has taught people to give up on themselves... 

 Who cares if you fail? Who knows if you fail? What is your criteria for failure? You alive, your well, your happy, you ate, you have a place to sleep, you have someone who cares about you, I could go on.... 

 All of those are wins... 

 To me being alive, being grateful is not failure, it's an absolute win!!!! 

 So before you think, damn I'm a failure, look around you and see all the wins in your life... You are not a failure, your a damn WINNER!!!! 

Stop doubting yourself... 

Stop letting society tell you what success looks like... 

Stop living the life that others "think" you should live...

Life Update 2022

 It has been a while since I've last posted on my blog, and I definitely plan to do so more often!!

So yes we have moved to a different state and have bought a house. We have been here for a year and it's been an ordeal...

Being a homeowner is amazing, but there are so many surprises that come with owning a home!!

Another thing that has been happening is virtual schooling with my 1st grader.

 Let's just say that in itself is a wild wild ride hahhaha

What I love about being away is the freedom I have to just live my life. Often we are surrounded by people who like to consistently give their opinions about what we need to do. I just like to remind people that it's my life, and if your not paying my bills you need to mind your business and worry about yourself. I obviously say this in a much nicer way lol

As a mom of little ones, I'm here to tell other moms to stop allowing others to dictate your life. Your life is yours and no one else's. 

My attitude in 2022 is peace, love and happiness. If people cannot offer that, then they need to be put aside.

We can no longer allow others to ruin our peace or to make us feel less than. You need to know your worth and keep the people that are worthy of you in your life. Anyone else that expects less, bye bye!!!

I have had a lot of reflection in the past year and I have been working on myself, for my kids and my husband. Because happy mom/wife, happy home. 

I had my first ever panic attack a few days ago, and that's when I realized I had to focus on my family and not allow other negative forces into my peace.

You cannot keep down playing your feelings, and you have to set boundaries even if it causes others to not understand. Your mental health is more important.

Not everyone has good intentions for you, although I love to believe everyone has good inside them. The older I get the more I realize people really aren't the nicest. This may sound naive of me, it's just I like to think people truly care about others when in all reality they only care about themselves.

This is why I will continue to be a good person, set boundaries and remove anyone/thing that is negative or isn't healthy in my life.

This so went on as a rant and I just hope that when you read this, if this resonates with you to please remember you are worthy. And you cannot allow others to try and control or manipulate your life. You have to stand firm, put your foot down and take control of what makes you you, what makes you happy and what makes you at peace.

I hope this start of the year has been great and has been a wonderful reflection and if it hasn't, you have time to change that and turn it into something amazing!!!
